I just download and install, but it calls for a license.

I thought it was a Christmas gift, maybe I'm wrong?

It shouldn't require any type of license number....You should be able to cancel out of that pop-up and use the instrument.

Dave, just drop the file into the folder here:
C:\Program Files\Notion 4\Sounds\Bundled\

Thanks for the Harpsichord! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Everything worked nicely on the 2.8-GHz 8-core Mac Pro with 20GB of memory running Mac OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion) here in the sound isolation studio, and after I downloaded the file "Harpsichord.prox" and then started NOTION 4 running in 64-bit mode, I double-clicked on the "Harpsichord.prox" file on the Mac desktop, and it installed correctly, which I verified by creating a new Harpsichord staff and putting some notes on it. I saved the changes to the score; closed NOTION 4; restarted NOTION 4; and the Harpsichord staff and its notes were there and played, for sure . . .

For sure! :ugeek:

P. S. I think this qualifies as an amazing year in terms of everyone at Notion Music doing a lot of very complex and difficult work successfully, including of course delivering the flagship 64-bit NOTION 4 in Mac and WIndows versions, but also doing the iPad apps and rolling out a new website, and doing updates to the instrument libraries, with more new stuff on the horizon, which is fabulous. . .

Fabulous! :D

OK. I restarted the installation, cancelling out that pop-up.
Harpsichord.prox file goes in the Notion Samples\Bundled folder.
But it does not appear in the list of instruments (in the score setup / Keyboards-harp).
Just to clarify, I'm still on Notion3. Should I have to upgrade to Notion4 to use the harpsichord ?
