Yes! You need to upgrade to NOTION 4 to use the Harpsichord for Notion 4 . . . :)

As is made obvious in the post by Admin, since this is an Harpsichord for Notion 4 sample update, you need to have NOTION 4 to use it . . .

Admin wrote:If you want Harpsichord for Notion 4 simply go to the bottom of this page, find harpsichord, then download and install.

As you might recall, there were some questions last month regarding whether the NOTION 4 sampled sounds are different from the NOTION 3 sampled sounds, and the official answer is (a) that they are different; (b) that you need the NOTION 4 sampled sounds to use with NOTION 4; and (c) that the NOTION 4 sampled sounds will not work correctly with NOTION 3 . . .

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And lots of FUN! :D

I thought it was a Christmas gift, maybe I'm wrong?

Yes, you must upgrade to Notion 4. Notion 3 licensing is different.

Now all we need from Santa is some kind of Xmas/January sales discount on the expansion sounds ;-)

I don't know if you realise this or not but there is currently a 30% discount on the expansions and it runs until the end of March! I just got myself all the strings articulations.

Color me crazy but is it official that there is not a working trill on the harpsichord at the moment?

I copied the harpsichord.prox file into the Programs\Notion 4\Sounds\Bundled folder but it's still in italics in the instrument list and when I select it, I get the grand staff like I should, but no playback.

What's up? What did I do wrong?

This is the first I have heard of this happening, so there is probably something deeper going on here.

I figured it out -- Simply copying the file into the directory wasn't enough. And when I double-clicked on it from within the Notion 4\Sounds\Bundled folder, I got the statement that it was already installed.

I just double-clicked on the same file that was in my Downloads file and Notion definitely went through the installation process, and now it works.

I misunderstood the installation procedure.

Now I've got the harpsichord sounds, all fine and dandy!
Thank you!

I tooked the downloades file to the (mac) desktop and clicked it double.

Notion automatically started and after generating a new score the harpsichord-instrument was available. Worked. Easy, just it has to be.
