Notion 3.0.3

Thanks for the update.
Unfortunately, ReWire is still broken in Logic and there seem to be no changes to note input.
Is there any timeframe as to when the bugs concerning step time input will be fixed?

EDIT: I had a look through all bugs I reported. Not a single one is fixed :( Not even the wrong placement of the about window.

We are working hard to get the note input update.

As for Logic, Rewire and NOTION3.

NOTION will work as a slave and Logic the master.

1. Open Logic first and setup your MIDI track.
2. Open NOTION3.
3. Go into the Logic mixer and create an aux track, assign NOTION to the input.

If you have any other questions let me know.

We will continue to update so keep looking out.

Sorry to hear that Novatlan's bugs didn't make the fix list, but I do want to say I appreciate the regular updates, the sticky at the top, and the direct access page for the updates. :P

Don't get me wrong! I really, really appreciate the update(s)!!! I am a Logic user, that means I regularly have to deal with years (!!) with no point upgrade, so EVERYTHING is appreciated :)

@Admin: That's what I did. Notion plays the first pass. But as soon as I want to resume playing, it does not work anymore. So far every audio application I have seen did this, but there always came a patch for it. So I am pretty sure that it is possible to fix it. I will try to get a bit more information and post a step by step bug report.

Novatlan,

I just tried running N3 build 3.0.3 as a slave to Logic with two large orchestral scores and everything ran fine for me. Everything sync'd well, no matter how many times I started playback. This seems like a more local problem. Did you try calling tech. support and see whether they are able to recommend something to try out?

P.S.

Sorry I'm slow to respond, I'm out of the US right now.

Regards,

Lubo Astinov

Thank you for the update.

Rewire is working with vocaloid in the new update.

It would be appreciated if Notion can give us a read me file so we can see what changes made it to the updates.

@Lubo!
First, let me wish you a happy vacation :)

I tried ReWire a few times - the results are still mixed. It seems to start, but channels are assigned randomly (i.e. if I specify Output 3 and 4 for an instrument, Logic may receive it still on the master, or not at all.
To start playback from Notion, I have to press space twice. The first time, only a very loud "pop" is heard. The second time, playback starts. I have to do this every time I want to start playback.
Starting playback from Logic does not work at all - Notion will not play.

I did the following:
Created an empty project.
Added a few aux strips and assigned them to Notion 1-2, 3-4 and so on
Created channel strips in the arrange window
Started Notion and loaded a score.

Did I do anything wrong?

All these things happen on both my MacPro (Notion 3.0.3 and Logic 9) and my MacBook (Notion 3.0.3 and Logic 8).
