MIDI Interfaces

I've just acquired a dedicated music laptop for use on the move and I'm looking for a new external midi interface to go with it (keeping my M-Audio 410 Firewire for my XP-based PC). I'm not familiar with the latest offerings and some advice on what to choose would be helpful. This is brief spec of my laptop:

Falcon Evolution 17/64 with Core i7-2760QM CPU running x64 Windows 7, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, mini IEEE 1394b port ...

At home, I use a PSR-9000 for input to Notion 4; live, I often use the synth as an additional external midi source when using Notion in performance mode. I won't say money is no object, but I'm looking for something reliable and robust enough for stage use that will work well with Notion.

Doesn't the PSR-9000 have USB MIDI?

No, possibly the Tyros, which came after the 9000 have USB Midi, but mine has only standard 5-pin DIN sockets.

The M-Audio Uno might be a good choice...

You could try a 5 pin din to USB adapter.

I've changed to a Novation Impulse 61 keyboard for input - no problem using this with my music laptop this and any of my programs.

However, having installed the new Windows 7 SP1 driver from M-Audio for their Firewire 410 and getting it running correctly in my home studio, yesterday using it live for the first time the 410 refused to be recognised. I understand that this a common problem. Suggestions that I try re-installing the driver are impractical in a live situation.

So what replacement should I consider? I need something that incorporates functionality and reliability.

Thanks in advance.
David

Other possibilities: http://iconnectivity.com/Products. Works with Notion 4.
