I sumbitted the following bugs. Anybody else having the same problems?
1) When I undock the entry palette to move the palette out of the way (View - show - show palette) I am unable to use my right-click menu anymore (e.g. to copy & paste) because that button is used for the palette! Notion rather allow for hold-shift and right-click to move the palette around to enable us to keep the right-click menu functionality.
2) When I return the palette to normal (menu - show - show palette) I now have 2 palettes! There seems to be no way to remove the extra palette.

Re: Unlocking the entry palette
Wouldn't i be a nice idea to use the OSX show/hide Dock keystroke which is alt+apple key+D.
this way you can turn on/off the entry Palette, it looks like a dock to me.
I'm having sometimes troubles switching between the different palette options the cursor won't move.
Have to click a few times.

Small work-a-round I found is that if you right-click on a selected note, or a selection area, you get the pop-up context menu again.
But I agree with the modifier idea. +1

A modifier would be great.
Maybe it could also be possible to assign the entry palette to the middle mouse button (if there is any).
