Escape not returning to Pointer after using bottom

'Escape' is listed as the quick key for the bottom menu for the pointer but after I add text marking or anything from that menu the escape key does nothing. I've tried all combos of shift, control and alt, too. Vista 64.

Any hints here to make this work?

One other note -- It would be nice if the 'Instrument Change' menu (shift + I) would retain the 'show all instruments' choice after you've selected it.

Still love this program though.

I think maybe after entering text you need to click on an empty space in the score to stop editing the text, so it is only selected, then press esc to deselect the text..?

Thanks,Unfinished, but I tried and it just holds the text selection (i.e pizz) not matter where I click until I go back down and click on the menu to bring up the arrow and then click on it.

I'll keep looking for a solution.
