Hi David,

I have not seen this Kontakt crash problem and I have been using it solid for the past 2 months.

Have you done the latest Kontakt update? The import version number should be 3.0.0.14 and the Software Version should be 5.0.2.5641

What instrument are you loading?

You could also try going into Kontakt Options and turning the Kontakt Memory Server off. I have found that in Mountain Lion, the KMS will not run yet. I am pretty sure the Kontakt Memory Server is defaulted to the on position.

Also, the issue could be 10.8. Try looking into this NI forum thread:

Hi,

i´m downloading the update now. Are the sounds the same as in Notion 3, so if I´ve installed the sounds in Notion 3, I dont have to install the sounds again for Notion 4?

No...you need to install the new sounds. You can run into issues if you do not.

I´ve installed the update now. It cant find the CSR Hall or Miroslav Philharmonik, and it can´t enable these two VSTs as it says: The plugin can´t run in a 64-bit Intel host? So if these don´t work with Notion 4, can I return the update?

Those are 32-bit plug ins, they do work with Notion 4. You can change Notion over from 64-bit to 32-bit, or use a solution like JBridge.

I am having a similar problem.

Can you have both the 32 bit and 64 bit version installed on the same machine?

I have both installed, when I try to load the VST for Philharmonic I get:-
"Philharmonik: The plug-in could not be created from the entry point function."

This happens with all the IK multimedian VST's

If I elect Miroslav form the instrument list the list of instruments is blank.

To run Notion as a 32-bit application after it has been installed as a 64-bit application on MAC:
♦ Locate and right-click on Notion in your application folder
♦ Select “Get Info”
♦ Check the box beside “Open in 32-bit mode”

To run Notion as a 32-bit application after it has been installed as a 64-bit application in Windows: -You must reinstall Notion as a 32-bit application.

IK's plugin's are 32-bit. Notion Installs in 64-bit by default on Mac, and you can decide 32 or 64 for PC.
