Agree

It seems to me quite impossible to Notion3 (for now) is to make improvements on some specific points by offering sub-version put before; most important update. The result is that the number of enhancement requests can be very large. There are also requests for changes that are unanswered and we do not know the reaction of directors. It may be quite normal that this causes some concern before the advent of a new version.

Disagree.

As a former beta tester for another notation application, I have experienced that features which were at some point part of the application, even very late in the testing process, had to be disabled at the last moment before the release. In one instance, it was because a severe bug was found too late in the game, and since it involved not only redoing code, but also rethinking the UI and redesigning graphic elements, it was judged better to release the program without the feature. It made it into a maintenance upgrade a few months later.

Can't we please stop harping on Notion for this?

Best wishes,
Thorrild

I think it is normal to ask questions, especially when you are bothered by certain deficiencies in the product that we pay and use. It does not want to harass anyone.

Your right Francois

And specially since Notion4 was shown in England and Scottland, look at this Notionmusic facebook advice :

"Want to see the newest products in action before everyone else? If you are in the UK this week you can. The following events below are showing the newest versions of Notion and Progression. Stop by and get all the details before anyone else, and don't forget to say hello to the guys in our UK office.
September 3rd - Bolton Music Services Hub (covering 9 music services in the Greater Manchester area and Liverpool)
4th - Oxford Music Service Conference
5th - Berkshire Music Service Conference
6th- Scottish Association of Music Educators (SAME) - Annual Conference
"

Some people "get all the details before anyone else" but us, Notion user's don't...

from screenshots of N4 i see the little graphic downgrade for me. The main panel where is play, record etc.. buttons is like plastic box, i like N3 main panel more. And if its possible, make some line above virtual keyboard for make diference between keyboard and score.

I hope, the N4 will be full charge of new features from feature requests forum :).

and i have question:
I will be able to upgrade boxed version from some distributor, like thomann.de, or upgrade boxed version is only from notion store?

We will be offering the boxed upgrade through our store and are still determining whether or not the upgrade will be available through our dealers.

Oh...and just so you know we've fixed every feature request there has ever been for NOTION3;) (joking of course)
