I was going to post the following:

"It's a good thing Notion identifies their releases by sequence number (1,2,3...) instead of by release years, otherwise they would be bumping up against having to rename and reprint all their release material to 2013."

It would have been just good-natured ribbing.

But I decided not to post it. Really.

I'm pretty patient ... but again it is better to announce things that are made, that the things that will be done. :geek:

yes the trouble is once you say that something has been made and sent to the printers, it is difficult to go into silent mode, at least you can say, oh sorry guys the printers ran out of ink and that the printing shop has contacted the IMF to borrow some funds to buy ink and put in place austerity measures but that Germany is standing in the way of us all having access to new notation software !!!!

I mean something completely plausible and believable along those lines ;)

... unless all the new boxes bear the new title "Musicalische Vorstellung Nummer Vier" in big gothic medieval characters :D

At this point I just think the announcement on this forum that it was sent off to the printers was probably premature and unauthorized (though true), hence the silence since. The powers that be in Notion-HQ probably want to wait until they have the redesigned website done and press releases released before they start openly talking about Notion 4 on these forums.

Kind of a bummer, but still, I hope it's a successful strategy. I'm definitely anxious to see how the product improved.

I have no doubt about the sincerity and honesty of directors, but they seem totally incapable of understanding the importance of ongoing communication with customers.
