No worries....you guys @ Notion are always on top of things whenever there's a problem! I look forward to them working in a future update!

Unfortunately it didn't work for me 
Using the EWQL timpani preset in Notion, I tried every note on my keyboard and I didn't find any roll at any pitch...
Do you have a solution using VSL SE ?

As far as EastWest goes, you need to load the preset and then set the sound on the rolls, which are on MIDI Channel 4 and a few others from what I can tell.
The Timpani should work with the Notion VSL Custom Preset. The old presets are the Notion 3 Special Edition presets as labeled in the Score Setup window. The new presets work for the New VSL Special Edition 1-4 libraries and are set up to work in Notion. I know that the Timpani Roll works in the new presets. Use the Tremolo marking on the notes that you would like to playback as rolled.
