Import MIDI then assign MIDI channels to one multi-VSTi

Sorry for this newbie question:
How can I import a MIDI file (say 4 staves) and assign each staff to a different MIDI channel of the same multi-VST instrument (e.g. GPO4 or Kontakt)?
I understand how to do it from scratch but how do assign the same VSTi (same instance, not another ARIA player for example) to different staves and just change MIDI channels all this starting from an imported MIDI file?
Sorry if this is trivial... Thanks!

Watch the tutorial video on multi output VSTi, in the suport section of the main website.

Thanks Bill, nice video. But as I wrote I know how to do it from scratch. Now my problem is how do you do it starting from an existing set of staves (tracks) as when you import a MIDI file? The problem is basically this: how to assign the same instance of a multi-VSTi instrument to different staves and use a different MIDI channel for each staff.
Of course copying everything to new tracks is one solution but...

i dont have multi instr. VSTi, but maybe i can help. Go to score setup > click on circle (staff setup) and choose your Multi VSTi.

Thanks for your reply. But how do you assign the same instance of VSTi to another staff?

It worked! Thank you Bill and dcd111.
I was missing one step: b. Make sure "Show all instruments" has a check mark.
Thanks again!!
