When you import a piano midifile, how do you set the splitpoint for the grand staff ?

I don't think you can set a split point for MIDI file import -- or for anything else. If a split point is available (as in real-time input), it is fixed at middle C.

Suggestion: Separate the MIDI file into two files (upper pitches and lower pitches) with a split point of your choice, in the sequencer you used to record the file. Then import the two partial files into two different piano staves in Notion. You can then cut the music from the second piano into the left-hand staff of the first piano to re-assemble the score.

Best wishes,
Thorrild

You can set the split point for a MIDI recording but not for a MIDI import.

Thanks for your answers.
In fact, I notice that importing a midifile (even pre-quantized) give awful results :(
I think I would spend too much time to adjust things...
So, I'm going to start from scratch and to rewrite my score...
