Dear all,
I just bought Notion 3.
I usually use Finale 2010 with EWQLSO Plat+.
I think that Notion3can handle EWQLSO.
Is it ok with PLAY edition ?
Is Notion automatically fire the right articulation ? If yes, I probably should use aster instruments ... is it right ?

Is the mixer can control which mic I use on PLAY ?
We usually use Master 18 Vlns for Violins 1 section and Master 11 Violins for the Violins II section.
But, as the Master 11 Vln doesn't provide pizz articulation, how Notion handle that ?

Hi Francois,

Congratulations on your new software. NOTION3 provides you with VSTi presets designed for the PLAY edition of EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Platinum (Plus) set. You can also choose to use PLAY like you would in any other VST host and setup custom instruments yourself.

The presets are custom-made, they take care of almost all available articulation and techniques that you can place in the score and will playback your pizz samples, yes. The first Violins are mostly the 18v patches with 11v patches filling in where articulations are missing (legno, trills, etc...).

The NOTION3 mixer can route any available audio out from any VSTi or a ReWire device to an Aux channel and thus control whatever is being received.

I hope that was helpful :) Welcome to NOTION3

Lubo one question- to load an entire orchestra template using Platinum Plus is quite memory hungry- I have 8 gb of RAM but I sense that Notion3 cannot access all that RAM due to the 32 bit 3 gb memory limit. Any suggestions as to get around this?

Dave- loving N3 nonetheless.

Dear Mr. Astinov,

Is N3 is heavy on the cpu ?
I run a quad-core at 3GHz with 8Gbytes of ram.
Is it ok for full score?
As I run on Vista x64, N3 seems to be compatible on this OS and I have PLAY x64, do you think that I will can handle all my 8Gbytes of memory?

Also, does N3 has a entry mode like Speedy in Finale ?
