No Sound and Another problem Help, Please...

I just installes Notion 3 and was doing ok with it. I had to download the ASIO4all driver to help with some latency during input via midi keyboard.

Anyway, something happened and I was getting no sound from Notion during note entry or playback, BUT the Notion mixer meter on the score page was indicating that signal was being received from my keyboars, and also indicating signal during playback. The sound is working fine in other programs & apps as it should.

When I checked the ASIO4all control box, I noticed that there was a red X next to the listed output device and a mouseover indicated that the device was not available, so I would assume THAT is the issue. Only thing is, I can't seem to correct it.
In an attempt to correct the situation, I uninstalled Notion from my machine, and reinstalled it from the original disks. This caused my second problem; It wants me to register and activate it again, but when I do, of course the Notion site says my License & is already being used.

Can anyone help me with these issues?

Hi,
Asio4all does not work if the microsoft GS wavetable sw synth is in use. If you go into file> preferences and click on the midi tab make sure that under midi output all are set to none. Hope that helps. On the registration issue just drop an email to Brian and they will reset things at their end. If you uninstall Notion again always go into Help>software activation and click on return licences.

ASIO4all is an AUDIO driver, and has nothing to do with MIDI...

True but it does not share output with any other device. Go to http://www.asio4all.com/ and look in the FAQ's and the bottom question (or thereabouts).

OP Here,

Thanks for the help. I made the adjustments and everything is good.
Also instead of plugging a direct usb cable from my keyboard to my laptop, I used an M-Audio Midisport Uno with their most recent driver. That really ellliminated the remaining minor input skips & misses, etc.
