Hello,
I am wondering if any one would have some suggestions on how I can get more use out of my East West samples or VSL SE samples and Notion 3. It seems I don’t have enough ram (4GIG) to use the templates for East West Symphonic Gold or the VSL SE. Does anyone maybe have some suggestions on how I might go about combining some of the Notion 3 sounds with some of the EW or the VSL SE with out running out of memory? I don’t think I really have a hold on that. Most of my writing is orchestral film stuff. I recently switched over from Sibelius. Notion 3 is outstanding!
Thanks,
Slowrise78

To use more the 4GBs of RAM you need:
1) A 64bit operating system and
2) more than 4GBs of RAM installed on your system

Yeah, VSL and EWQL libraries are hard to use without a 64 bit system and a load of RAM. I suggest tweaking the default VSL/EWQL instruments so that you load fewer samples (just the ones you need - Notion tends to load a variety of samples and techniques).

Hi Folks,
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Would you be able to give me some info on how to tweak the east west sounds?
If it's too involved don't worry about it. As you you can tell I really don't know what I am doing!
Thanks again,

Re: Help with EWQL and VSL SE
When setting up your score, you'll want to choose the "Lite" version of the EWQL insturments. This is the Keyswitch version in EW.
Further, you can open the Play interface of each instrument (Ctrl-I) and uncheck the Load checkbox for any articulations that you don't use.
