I've had quite a bit of success using jBridge to open up additional memory on my system while being able to use the rules files for supported libraries as well as custom rules for other libraries.
I'm assuming that you are having issues of some form or fashion in this regard based on this post:

What kind of issues are you experiencing when using jBridge?

Re: jBridge ideas and usage
Thank you for starting this discussion. Let me start by describing what I do. Maybe you can tell me what I am doing wrong.
I will start a new score with a startdard template with a full orchestra and then go to the score setup screen where I will insert all the extra instruments I need from the other libraries. For example, I like to add extra percussion instruments from Miro and I like to use the harp and piano from GPO. Often I like to double my strings with the Miro strings for an extra lush sound.
All this is fine, but usually by this time I will be running out of memory and end with regular crashes. I think that the problem lies in the fact that the score setup screen adds the 32 bit standard Vsts instead of the J-bridge versions.

Re: jBridge ideas and usage
OK, first, I'm assuming you have a 64 bit machine with plenty of RAM, correct?
Second, I'm also assuming that you have jBridge and have run the jBridger application, correct?
If so, then you need to add and enable the jBridged plugin files in the VST Manager and disable the normal plugin files. For example, I have one normal VST file which reads ARIA_Player_VST_x86. I have another VST, the jBridged file, which reads ARIA_Player_VST_x86.32. I want to add and enable the ARIA_Player_VST_x86.32 file in the VST Manager and disable the ARIA_Player_VST_x86.
Doing this should force Notion to use only the jBridged version of GPO when setting up staves and allow you to access additional memory. I've done the same thing with EWQLSO with good results as well as other VSTs access from the "VST Instrumetns" tab.
Please let me know if that makes sense and whether or not it works for you.

Re: jBridge ideas and usage
Thank you! Yes I have a i7 with 16GB Ram and I have J bridge. I ran the app and enabled the 64 bit version. Everything as you decribed. The part I did not do was to disable the normal 32 bit version.
Thank you for this tip. I will try this when I get to my studio tonight!

Re: jBridge ideas and usage
Hi, I'm back
Safely behind my computer. I went through all the procedures you decribed, but no success. I disabled the philharmonic plugin in the pluin manager and added a new one. I do not know how to remove it permanently from the VST plugin manager list. Each time I restart Notion, Notion would have enabled philharmonic again. Even if I start with a completely empty project. When I then add new instruments it seems like Notion still uses the un-bridged version, as I still get crashes. Notion display the following message when it crashes:
"C:\Program Files (86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Philharmonic.dll - Forcing auxhost termination due to an error. Dispatcher:24;Audiomaster 14"

Re: jBridge ideas and usage
I'm not sure if this will solve your problem, but I was having issues with jBridged plugins freezing Notion when trying to load. I emailed jBridge's developer for guidance and he provided the following instructions:
Depending on your system, you might have to do a save-s to the desktop and copy the file back to your plugin folder (that's what I had to do). Give it a shot and see if this fixes your problem.
Edit your .jBridge configuration file with Notepad, which is inside your real plugin's folder ( jBridge creates it there, for example Kontakt4.dll will have Kontakt4.jBridge there ), then search for the line
EFFSETCHUNK_COMPATIBILITY_OPTION 0
Try changing it to
EFFSETCHUNK_COMPATIBILITY_OPTION 1
Let me know if it solves it.
( note: this file should be in the folder where the real plugin is installed )
