Notion 2 sounds no longer available?

The Euphonium sample that comes with N3 is, well, not good. I have already submitted at bug report and was suggested to use the N2 sounds. This is an ok work around. However, today when I tried to add a N2 Euphonium to a score, the Notion 2 sounds tab was gone in the instruments (lower right corner). Were they done away with? Or do I need to reinstall or something?

It's been a while since I installed Notion, but I think the Notion 2 sounds are on the second disc. I think there was an installer that moved the files to the appropriate folder.

I purchased the full version of Notion 3 around this time last year and the N2 sounds were included in the installation media, but I suppose it is possible that the sounds included with the full version have changed since then, which I base mostly on not finding any information specifically referring to "N2" sounds in the current description of Notion 3 Sounds at the Notion Music website, where instead there is a reference to the sounds from Progression being included. . .

On the Mac, with a typical installation using media from one year ago, the Notion 3 "Sounds" subfolder is in the "Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Notion 3" folder, and it looks like this:

(1) Check the Notion 3 installation media, since you might not have installed the "N2" sounds, if they are included in your media . . .

[NOTE: The sounds probably are on a separate DVD, which should be labeled accordingly . . . ]

(2) You can call Notion Music technical support to get definitive information . . .

Lots of FUN . . .

This is Brian from Tech Support. If you have the N2 folder in your Sounds folder that Surfwhammy mentioned, you may just need to reload your sounds. To do this, simply go to NOTION (File)>Preferences and choose the tab that reads "Audio." You can then press the button that reads "Choose...." and navigate to your Sounds folder(It should already be there). Once you press Select, the program will reload your sounds. Feel free to shoot me an email if you are still having problems. brian@notionmusic.com
