New From Template -> EWQL Full Orechestra
I'd love to be able to open "new from template" and do something else, like get a cup of coffee, or run a marathon ... but ... notion3 can never seem to remember where my libraries are so I have to sit there for x-minutes clicking through dialogs.
In addition, the "Loading Plugins..." dialog appears to have the window attribute "always on top", (ms windows extended style: WS_EX_TOPMOST). This normally would be OK, but the child dialog asking me for the location of my libraries is unfortunately _behind_ the top-most dialog (judging from the the window style, the child dialog is actually spawned from the Play instance). In certain situations, this is even made more annoying by the fact that the dialog asking me where my libraries are slides _behind_ the main application window. I'm thankful neither one of those dialogs are modal and block the application window or else I would never have found the reason that notion3 apparently was hanging on loading the plugins.
A few example solutions would be:
a) write the location of the libraries in some external config file (or windows registry),
b) force minimize the main application window until "Loading Plugins..." dialog returns
* note: this could get annoying as well ...
and finally;
c) place the "Loading Plugins..." dialog left or right of center so as not to block the Play dialog box.
thanks
David

Re: minor annoyances ...
I think the explination of how to fix that is in the "EWQL and Notion3 FAQ" thread...

Thanks, I assume you mean this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=170
At any rate, I'm not sure what is more painful, clicking a few times on startup or editing all those notion files
Nevertheless, if the explanation is "the way plugin data is saved in Play" .. why is it that Logic and Sonar can remember?
