As it seems, something has gone wrong with the list of VST effects that appears on my Manager window. It shows some plugins that I no longer have in my system, and is unable to activate others that work without a hitch within applications like Logic Express.
Is there any way to force Notion to reset its internal list of VST effects and rebuild it from scratch?

Re: resetting the VST manager
NOTION will read any VSTs that are in the Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plugins\VST folder. You can rename this folder to something like VST1, open the program, close the program and the rename it back to VST to get the program to reload the VSTs. NOTION will not load 64 bit VSTs and this could be the reason why it is not loading the desired VSTs. You can also Browse for the VSTs manually from the VST manager. Let me know if this helps.

Re: resetting the VST manager
Brian,
Will this process work for Windows as well? I'm trying to clean up my VST Manager window (i.e. remove plugins that I don't use with Notion); is there anyway to remove the VST from the list altogether?
Regards

Re: resetting the VST manager
You can go to C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\NOTION Music\NOTION 3 and delete your PlugInsAvailable.cache file. After that, NOTION will pull up any VST's that are located in your default VST location on your system. If the .dll is in the default VST folder, NOTION will pull it up.

I've never seen a way to set the default VST location ...
