What is your workflow to create a score from sequencer files

Hi
Compliments for the new year. I hope this will be a good one for you all!
I have a problem. I created some music in Sonar some time ago, which I now have to clean up and prepare a proper score so it can be used for a real orchestra (full orchestra with winds, brass, strings and percussion).
The piece was composed in the days before I had Notion and this is turning out to be more of a nightmare than I initially imagined. I would like to know if anybody else had a similar experience and how you tackled this.
I started by exporting a midi file from Sonar and importing that into Notion then started to clean it up in Notion. There are however a number of pitfalls which I constantly run into. One being that I can not find a way in Notion to combine lines into a single line (see separate post on the forum on this topic). I have to make sure it is in the correct order (winds above brass above strings etc). It also seems to be a tedious process entering the articulation and dynamic markings. etc. I am wondering if there are easier ways of doing all this.
