Have you checked to see if you have "concert pitch" or "concert tuning" selected under the view menu? In order to see the transposed parts, you need to have the "transposed" feature checked. Check out the manual if you need more details on how these options work (http://notionmusic.com/support/pdfs/Help.pdf).

What I think Francois is saying is that the "Transpose key signatures" check box seems to have no effect on key signatures. This is the case whether you have all the parts set in concert key or not.

Excactly !

So are you saying that the key signatures default to concert key? For example, if you add two sharps to a clarinet part (key of D major for the clarinet) intending it to be in concert C, it actually adds four sharps to putting it in concert D?

If I understand your question ....

I write for a piano c scale.
I select the music.
Right click on it
Choose Tools> Transpose.
Marked Transpose Key signature.
Choose Perfect Fifth up.

Click Transpose.

I now have a G Major scale.

The Key signature has not changed.

Key signature is still the C Major.

The Key signature should Have F sharp as the image attached here.

This is not the case.

I think this option Transpose Key signature does not work.

I'm a total novice with Notion, just getting started a little today, but my main DAW program, Sonar, uses the "Transpose" command to change the pitch of whatever notes are selected. It has no effect on the key. Instead, if the newly transposed notes are not normally part of the the (original) key, then accidentals appear as needed. There is a different command available to change the key. I suspect that's true with Notion.

There is no problem to change the key with N3 but not with the procedure as I indicate above. N3 will provide good alterations by the same procedure for the passage transposed. But it does not correct the Key signature as it should. That's what I try to explain here.

I did a test that was successful.

I realized that the key signature must be included in the selection which is not always the case for other software I know.
