Hello,
I have a library where the strings use keyswitch (F6) for staccato and woodwinds use another keyswitch(E6) for staccato.
What commands/rules can I make in the custom rule file to make that happen? That is when a stringinstrument has a staccato mark it has to trigger keyswitch F6 but if a woodwind instrument has the staccato mark it has to trigger E6
Best regards
Frieda

Can you edit your libraries to have consistent keyswitches?

Unfortunately I can not redefine the keyswitches in that library.

This can be frustrating, not only when working with Notion, but when working with libraries such as these in general. With EastWest/QuantumLeap, I have to constantly refer to cheat sheets or just experiment to find the right keyswitches. Sometimes, due to the range of the instrument being used, the keyswitches aren't even all grouped together in the same octave. Some exist in the lower octaves and some exist in the upper octaves.
I take it no one has a solution to the OP's problem? Or is instrument name a condition that can be checked for in a custom rule?
