Audio Splitting

Can the audio output in Notion 3 be split? I'm trying to get two separate audio sends and wasn't sure if Notion was capable of this.

I use Notion for live applications all the time and I've seen how useful two audio outputs would be.

Yes you can send different outputs to your audio card.

Are there step by step instructions somewhere on how to do this or a diagram? Basically I have USB, Firewire and the standard 1/8" jack outputs that I can use. My problem is that I need to know how I can send one set of instruments to one channel (outside the computer) and another set of instruments to another channel (same scenario). Ultimately it will be getting to a mixer where the operator needs to have control of two different channels. It is getting to that point that I'm having trouble on.

You choose the output for each instrument at the bottom of the Mixer. Just drop down the list, and select the one you want.

That splits on the internal mixer fine. It is splitting from my CPU to an external mixer that I would like to do.

How many outputs does your sound card have? Note that Notion can only send to a single card, setup in File/Preferences/Audio.
