Notion 3 skips notes with Ivory pianos

Hi - I have created a simple major scale with Notion 3 and assigned Ivory Pianos as the VST. Notes get skipped (ie do not sound). It is random but notes are always skipped.
I noticed that this happens with the Kore player as well.
Note - Ivory has never skipped notes when used in PrintMusic 2010.
Thanks
Patrick

Hi - Someone from support contacted me to let me know that they were aware of this issue. I did ask for a timeline on a fix but did not get a response. Unfortunately, I will have to use my old notation software until this is fixed.

Hi - I upgraded to Ivory 2. Now, Notion 3 does not appear to recognize it as a piano. During set-up, it only adds the treble-clef staff, no bass-clef. As well, notes as still skipped. Ivory 2 works fine in PrintMusic 2010.

Did Notion recognize Ivory 1 as a piano? I didn't think that third party VSTs (other than GPO, Miroslav, VSL, or EWQLSO) could use instrument settings (staff settings, glisssando types, etc).

Hi - I believe it did. (But now you have me wondering.) I would have thought that I would have mentioned the missing staff in my first post. Regardless, the Notion folks can confirm that it actually works as you say and I simply have a bad memory. I would be happy if they could just fix the skipping notes so that I could use Notion. It is so much better than PrintMusic.

You can change the single staff into a grand staff in the staff options. As far as I know, VSTs not supported with custom rules files won't have all of the characteristics of specific instruments. For instance, I use TruePianos; however, if I write a gliss for TruePianos, Notion will play back a chromatic gliss (not white notes only).
Anyway, you should be able to change the single staff to a grand staff, but I'm not sure what else you can do to emulate a piano's quirks.

Unfortunately, Notion (280) still skips notes with Ivory pianos.
