Change note-entry velocity?

I'm just wondering if there's any way to change the note-entry velocity - that is, the velocity of the note played when clicking a new event into the score? It's too loud for my liking... I don't see anything in prefs, so I wondered if maybe there's an editable config file somewhere that could be used to hack it in.

Dynamic markings decide that. Supposing you mean entering them by the mouse by clicking. And the dynamic map (which mark corresponds to which velocity) can be defined in the rules file.
edit: Just realised you probably mean the note-echo at the moment you enter the new note. Don't know about that.
