Hello All,
I have the VSL DVD collections, not SE, and I'd like to be able to use the automatic loading features available to SE. With Sibelius, I was able to overwrite the SE presets by first letting Sibelius load its preset files, then copying the DVD patches in place of the corresponding SE patches. Once I re-saved the preset, it would be recalled correctly in future. However, with Notion it somehow always manages to find the SE preset. I tried making an alias to /Applications/NOTION 3/Contents/Resources/PluginData/VSL/Presets so that I could save my modified VSL presets in place of the ones provided with Notion. But somehow Notion still magically finds the SE preset... I don't get it. The only thing I can *maybe* see happening is that the *matrix* is still Notion's SE matrix, so that changing the preset doesn't effect it (i.e., the modified preset still loads the SE matrix, leaving the patches unchanged). But since there don't appear to be any matrix files provided, I don't see how I can get around this.
Is there any guide for people using the DVD collections? I'd really like to be able to use the same basic template approach used by SE users - that is, selecting a named instrument from the list in Notion. Is that possible?
thanks in advance,
J.

Re: Making VSL SE templates load DVD collections
I don't have any VSL samples, yet, but am interested in this one:

So, essentially, I have the same question. Any advice here?
Thanks,
Steve
