Yes, silver samples and gold samples are different, so you can't overwrite samples.

too late, I have moved everything in the silver samples folder into the gold one (I guess that a kind of fusion has occured)

I think that it is Notion who loads because it is made to work with the Platinum version. If I use Play like a standalone, it uses the original folders (with the Silver one and the Gold one).

Do you think that it's also Notion who "memorizes" the paths ?
I didn't try the standalone, I hope it will still work ...

If you want to use Play like a standalone, and if you move your Silver samples to the Gold folder, I hope you will be able to use it (not sure that the change of folders is a good idea). It works for me because I kept the 2 folders (Platinum and Gold+Silver).

I also did not want to look each sample in the two libraries when I download an instrument. It was just to be faster!

Ok but I didn't notice that silver could be involved in the process...
I made some tests and things seem to go normally...
I even have the feeling that Play "learns" and retains the paths I indicate to it...
It's very strange to me, but apparently it works...

François, would you mind telling me exactly how you "merged" the Gold and Silver folders? It's not at all clear to me how that can happen without overwriting (and therefore, presumably, losing) some of the samples. I say this because it seems many of the sub-folders are named exactly the same in both Gold and Silver versions!

This is what I have done so far:

After installing EWQLSO Gold I copied the Gold Instruments, Gold Samples and Silver Samples folders over to a new folder named Platinum Library. I then renamed Gold Instruments to Platinum Instruments.

When windows detect that the samples is already present you choose 'do not replace' and check the box 'do the same for all items'.
It was not necessary to copy to a new folder ...
I copy just Silver on the Gold samples and it worked.

It's OK. Upon looking inside the sub-folders I realised that the actual sample files were different which meant I could merge without fear of losing any samples. I now seem to have EWQLSO working with Notion.
