I had forgotten about UltraEdit and its ability to color-code programming languages, but along the way I remembered it and found the correct option for XML color-coding, which makes it easier to read and tends to be helpful toward the always worthy goal of avoiding typographical mistakes . . .

At first it is a burst of color, but after you work with it a while, it becomes easy to identify stuff and to know visually when something is not correct for the pattern . . .

As you know, NOTION does something similar with multiple voices on the same staff, as well as turning excess notes in a measure red as a visual indicator, and there are other color-coded visual cues in NOTION, which is one of the reasons I like the NOTION graphic user interface so much . . .
