VSL does allow you buy single instruments, which can be a nice way to fill in what's missing as you need it.
Even though I haven't used it very extensively, I have no regrets about buying EW at that price. Also, consider their pianos. Great library! And Spaces is a great reverb....

Am I correct in thinking I could run certain Notion instruments in conjunction with the EWQL library to cover some missing articulations such as flute trills?
