Horn and Trumept Sections

Postby kvapka » Mon Aug 29, 2011 8:21 am

Does have Notion Horn section and Trumpet section? In soundlist on webpage i see only this:

Alto Saxophone
Tenor Saxophone
Bari Saxophone
Horn
Trumpet
Tenor Trombone
Tuba
Bass Trombone
Euphonium

i tried demo N3 and download trombone and horn, but i think and sounds like for me, this is only solo instruments.

Notion has just released new Brass section sounds, but you have to pay extra to get them.

Here's the description:

We'll see if I did this right...

That SHOULD be an mp3 using only the Horn, Trumpet and Trombone section samples.

Thank you Timoty.
Sounds interesting, though trumpets are a little bit sinthy to me. French horns are suberb.
on the technical side, it is meant that each ensemble plays in unison?

Yeah, the trumpets get a little thin on the high side, shine well on the lows and I agree, the Horns are just great.

The ensemble samples play in unison but are fairly convincing when you "split" them, by which I mean harmony on one staff. In all technicalities that DOES make it EIGHT horns at once but tonally it isn't too noticeable.

That piece was done with three staves, one for each part.

Mmh... Unrealistic but pleasant!
I use a similar technique with GPO doubling each horn with a touch of another one horn, often a slightly detuned one.
