I'm not going to open a Win vs. Mac debate

No please!
If of some interest, I can swear it happens on Mac too.
Thank you, Philip.

It sounds to me that it's part of the recorded sample. Basically the difference in timbre between the attack and sustain of the sample is slightly different.....this is how it was played by the LSO player. I do hear that there is a slight "pulse" but it certainly doesn't sound like 2 eighth notes.

I would definitely not consider this a "bug"

LSO? Bug or not, eight or not... What should I do to make it normal?

LSO = London Symphony Orchestra....

After listening to the sample it seems as if it is playing back just the way it was recorded. I honestly don't think that someone would even hear it given everything else going on in the arrangement and I don't see any workaround that will give you the effect you're looking for. Best suggestion I could give is to try some other sample libraries and you may have luck with that particular note on that particular instrument.

The Tuba(s) in Miroslav Philharmonik do not do the "double breathing", so you hear a smooth quarter note, which I think is what you want to happen . . .

There are variations among different sample libraries, so the way something sounds depends on the instrument, the musician, and the way it was recorded and digitized, as well as other stuff . . .

If you want a specific sound, then it makes sense to have a variety of VSTi sample libraries, and my strategy is to wait until there is a discount, special offer, or something that saves money, since there are a lot of VSTi sample libraries, for sure . . .

For sure!
