In the VST score setup, there is a tab with a new function, called Vienna Ensemble Pro Event Input. After having opened a Empty Ensemble staff (to open the VE Pro instance) you add as many basic stave as needed. But it may be necessary to open one or more extra inputs to distribute midi ports to the score: the Event Inputs. Each Event Input provides 16 channels and you can have 8 of them. To use them, you have to proceed just like with the Empty Ensemble: put the cursor in the Event Input staff (and leave it there), then click Shift + i to open a new instrument (channel), give it the desired channel 1-2-3-... and set it into the basic staff for that instrument. it will just show u like Event Input 1/2/3... You can change the name afterwards in the usual way (by doubleclicking on that name). Proceed that way until all instruments are in the score.
It is highly recommendable to leave the first measure empty (when deleting someting in that staff, you could easily erase the Event Input information in it.
After having finished that procedure, you can go on in Vienna Ensemble to link the VI Pro Instruments (from the Notion Presets) to the right channels. Don't forget to set the midi port AND the channel to the instrument.
One small remark (for the time being, until further notice or update from Notion): the Notion Presets won't work in Event Input, unless you place the presets folder in the same folder as your score. Even then, not all presets will work. Therefore, we will have to wait for the next (?) update.
