I have been going mad for a bout 3 hours now trying to figure out why it seems I keep losing measures, then I looked up at the top of the display. I'm not sure yet but this might be really disasterous if I can't fix it. Everything I try makes it worse. At first it was just skipping 2 measures. Now it's all Cattywompus.

This happens here in the sound isolation studio when I delete measures and am using "Continuous" view, and after a bit of experimenting I discovered that switching from "Continuous" view to "Pages Across" or "Pages Down" view, followed by switching back to "Continuous" view causes the measures to be renumbered correctly . . .
However, I have not seen the numbers jumbled out of sequence like in the screen capture you posted . . .
Instead, what happens is that if I delete a few measures the sequence might be {120, 121, 125, 126, 127, . . . }, so it probably depends on the particular sequence of deleting measures . . .
Try switching from the current view to another view and then back to what was the current view . . .
EXPERIMENT AND VERIFIED SOLUTION
I did a bit of experimenting with NOTION 4 (64-bits) on the Mac, and I was able to reproduce the problem, as shown in the following screen capture:

NOTION 4 (64-bit) ~ Jumbled Measure Numbers ~ Continuous View ~ Mac
The solution I described works nicely, and it is very quick. Just toggle the current view to another view; and then toggle the view back to the original view, whatever it might have been. This causes the measures to be renumbered correctly, which is fabulous . . .

NOTION 4 (64-bit) ~ View Menu
[NOTE: This is the same NOTION 4 score (see above) but after toggling from Continuous view to Page Across view and then back to Continuous view, which causes the measure numbers to be renumbered correctly . . . ]

NOTION 4 (64-bit) ~ Corrected Measure Numbers ~ Continuous View ~ Mac
Fabulous!

P. S. If you are using the SHIFT + I feature to change instruments or MIDI channels, then you will need to redefine any of the measures where the specific instrument or MIDI channel reverted to the default value for the staff, where in the examples I posted "Ref. 10010" is the default value (which is a piano), but it really should be Marimbas, so toggling the view corrects the measure numbering, but in this instance where I was using SHIFT + I to specify a particular instrument or MIDI channel, after the measures were correctly renumbered I had to respecify the specific instrument or MIDI channel for the affected measures, which is easy to do, really . . .
Really!

Re: Measure Numbers going wacky in N3
In the end I just exported the file to xml and re-imported it. That fixed it. Thanks.

Re: Measure Numbers going wacky in N3
There is a way to fix measure numbers, even in Continuous View.
All you have to do is go to Score>Full Score Options>Layout>Measure Numbers>Each Measure.
This will display all of the measure numbers directly on the top staff in your score. If you double click the measure number, it will open a text box. Enter the measure number you want and press return or enter. Notion will reset the measures after the measure number that you change.
I hope this helps.
