Is The Fermata In Notion 4 Not Working For Anyone Else?
I have finally started using Notion 4. But today when I insert a fermata, I change the setting from "0 quarter notes" to "7 quarter notes" and yet there is no pause on playback. Is this problem new? I remember being able to make it work in Notion 3.

I have tried it several ways and have no problem with the fermata working properly in Notion 4.

Hmmm...
Thanks for the feedback. That tells me I need to dig back in and find some other underlying cause.

Have you assigned a length to the fermata (10.24 in the manual)?

Yes, I did what I describe in my initial post, and I did consult 10.24 in the manual.

Are you in rewire mode? I don't think the holds/pauses work when Notion is slave in a rewire set up.

Nope. I have never used Rewire, and my setup is a single PC.
Edited to add, I just retried it using the same steps as yesterday, and today it is working. Gremlins, I suppose, but all is well that ends well, as long as it keeps working.

We tested it too, and it seems to be working.

just tested, Fermata, Caesura, Tenuto, Breath, they are all working perfectly !
The only thing about FERMATA is that is not centred to the note !
Have to be fixed please.
Thanks

Re: Is The Fermata In Notion 4 Not Working For Anyone Else?
See, it's funny; I ALWAYS have had issues with fermata's etc. since Notion 1.5. Half the time they play, half the time they don't. Was the same in N2 and N3. Same thing when exporting WAV; sometimes the pauses or extended durations get rendered, sometimes they don't. This is something I have just gotten used to not working. Since I don't rely on the engraving in Notion to be playable/readable, I can use several workarounds.
