Can't find VSL SE instruments in Notion 4

Hi

I installed Notion 4 today and I also have VSL Special Edition vol 1 & 2 along with VSL Ensemble Pro and VI Pro. However, I can't see the VSL instruments in the score area ( I can see Notion instruments and Kontakt which I have enable). I went to VST Manager to enable the instrument but I can't seem to do so. As mentioned earlier, I have successfully enabled Kontakt 5.

Can you guide me as to how to enable VSL SE or tell me what I am doing wrong please?

Be sure that your using the 64bit version of the VI Player.

Yes, it is the 64 bit VI. And, I have dowloaded the presents and loaded it in the directory manager.

I could finally enable VE Pro VST3. Is that the only VSL plug-in which can be enabled? With this enablement, I can see VSL SE 2 instruments (chamber strings, appassionata strings) but I yet can't see SE 1 instruments (violin sections etc). I think I am missing something basic out here

I have managed to solve the problem of VI Pro not appearing in Notion 4. The DLL files were lying in the Steinberg VST Plugin sub-folder in the 'Common Files' folder in Program Files. Silly me for not figuring this one earlier. So finally VE and VI Pro are enabled

However, the problem of the VSL SE 1 instruments not appearing in the score set up continues (SE 2 instruments appear but I don't have those instruments). Stranely, I can add them through the score setup button which appears to the left of the staff and they play perfectly. I can't figure this one yet.

Also, the VSL Pro Special Techniques Palette is still blank and I have to write the techniques down. I have downloaded the new Notion 4 presets and have loaded them in VSL's directory manager. I see in this forum that many users are encountering the same problem.

Anyway, apart from the above issues, the product appears to be very good based on my limited usage till now.

Working with third-party instruments in Notion 3 is a cinch: the score setup page shows a list of your installed VST Instruments, and clicking on one of them assigns it to a score staff. I found it very handy to be able to launch Native Instruments’ Kontakt sampler. Thanks to the included orchestral presets, VST Instruments such as Vienna Instruments and EastWest Play also faithfully follow these instructions.
