Re: WHERE IS NOTION 4 AND LION SUPPORT????
"Zimmer monster" is a reference to the fact that Hans Zimmer doesn't actually score films, he merely writes a soundtrack of music

Re: WHERE IS NOTION 4 AND LION SUPPORT????
I whole heartedly second the idea (or should I say notion ) of video integration! I would absolutely pay any dollar amount to be able to score to a video right on Notion...especially with NTempo! Guys, we could bring back real scoring and finally destroy the Zimmer monster.

Solo Strings Issues
I was playing back an older piece of mine and every time there is an instance of staccato in the higher registers it clicks.
It's kind of a cool sound but...not when I want strings.
I'm attaching a sample of my String Quartet and then just an isolation of the most obvious bit (Viola)

Re: Notion with a graphic tablet (wacom)
I've never even THOUGHT of using my wacom tablet! I only thought of it as an art tool...back in my days where I thought, maybe I could paint...silly Tim.
I'm trying this out tonight!

Re: Horn and Trumept Sections
All in all, I would definitely reccomend these samples, they open up some creative doors that were otherwise inaccessible with the solo patches (one single trumpet doesn't sound anything like 3?? Outrageous). Are they necessarrily the end-all for brass patches? No, but you'd be hard pressed to find ...

Re: Horn and Trumept Sections
Yeah, the trumpets get a little thin on the high side, shine well on the lows and I agree, the Horns are just great. The ensemble samples play in unison but are fairly convincing when you "split" them, by which I mean harmony on one staff. In all technicalities that DOES make it EIGHT horn...

Re: Horn and Trumept Sections
We'll see if I did this right...
That SHOULD be an mp3 using only the Horn, Trumpet and Trombone section samples.

Re: N3 Samples
Some of the N2 Samples are missing! Most importantly, Wine Glasses which I used on several scores. Also a few of the percussion samples play back as piano effectively ruining my piece. Are there plans to bring these back? Also, I may just be crazy, but the N3 solo strings seem to play out of tune wi...
