Err, yes, it's certainly not classical.
Thanks.

Re: East West Symphonic Orchestra with Notion
Well I use EWQLSO Gold and I only have 4GB RAM :(. But it works very well and I always have all the strings, brass and woodwinds loaded + Addictive Drums etc. and since Notion 4 and 64 Bit support it works very well. That's good to know as I only have 4GB RAM at the moment and am considering EWQLSO...

Wow, I hadn't realised that, Bill. So that adds another $50 to the price!

Re: what are Rules?
Am I correct in thinking I could run certain Notion instruments in conjunction with the EWQL library to cover some missing articulations such as flute trills?

Re: Notion as a learning tool
Thank you. Yes, I had already talked my friend through much of what you said. As a matter of interest could you say what those things are which Notion disallows without explanation? I think that would be helpful to her. On another note, I don't think I would advocate ignoring all the other clefs as ...

Notion as a learning tool
I've had someone ask me about using Notion as a means of learning to notate music. I think, essentially, what she's wanting to know is whether Notion will prevent one from entering music incorrectly. As someone used to inputting things correctly I wasn't too sure. I know I deliberately tried a coupl...

Re: what are Rules?
Aah, VSL, yes. I don't think there's anything on their site that I can afford!
I think the furthest I can push in terms of quality is probably EWQL at half price. However, what you just said about things missing is starting to dissuade me. Oh, I don't know.

Re: what are Rules?
But yes, EWQLSO integrates with Notion, as does the VSL SE collection. All the rules come with Notion, and are available when you install the library. EWQLSO is half price right now, which is probably why you're asking.... Thanks, Bill. When you say that "all the rules come with Notion" ,...
