cancelling/compounding techniques

I need to know which techniques cancel other techniques and which compound. For example, espressivo (espr), when input, carries through until normale (norm). But, adding certain other techniques to notes after espr (but before normale causes the techniques to compund. so ... given 3 half notes with ...

Re: rule execution and precedence

Exactly what I figured out a few moments ago and although a bit cumbersome, certainly does clean up the retriggers

thanks for the reply.

Re: Custom Rules show up in Score Setup window?

I run all my instruments via midi and/or VEpro, so none of the special library articulations were showing up in the pallet, so I did some fairly simple copy/paste/editing of that instrument config file to make all the EWQL and VSL special articulations also show up under the "Vsti" group ...

rule execution and precedence

I have rules defined in this order: <rule name="default"> <!-- if this flag remains set. pitch=24 will trigger --> <set-flag name="default" /> </rule> <rule name="qleg"> <if midi-channel="1"/> <if technique="qleg" /> <if condition="under-slur&qu...

Re: notion4 crash on audio export

thanks, but unfortunately, that doesn't help much.

I've resorted to exporting MIDI into Sonar and bounce from there.

Re: instrument-id test fails

Any resolution to this?

I am using vienna ensemble pro and the event input plugin. My tests are all from the ids revealed with SHIFT-I (show all instruments).

thanks,
David

Re: Audio priority

Same problem here ...

I believe it is a 64 vs 32 bit issue. At least that is what I attribute the behavior to. I can watch/listen to 32-bit VLC with Notion open as well as fiddle with my MIDI controller software (also 32 bit), but not with any 64 bit apps like Sonar.

Re: Notion and Sonar ReWire Problem

Hi,
could you explain to exactly how you did this?
1) are you running 32-bit X1?
2) which synth did you insert?

thanks

step vs real-time input

During real-time input, notion3 has split-note functionality whereby above or below a certain note the pitches will be notated in treble and bass clef respectively (assuming piano staff).

Does step-input have that same functionality?

thanks
