Re: My custom EWQLSO external midi rules

I would be interested in seeing these rules as well. I can't imagine this would be a problem, as others freely distribute their human playback instrument preferences files for Finale and soundsets for Sibellius. I believe Lubo Astinov in an earlier posting mentioned that he was planning to put toget...

Re: jbridge

I don't think it is coming from PLAY, as I can use the 64bit vst with Sonar, and load up quite a few instruments. I suspect that it is either JBridge or Notion...

Re: jbridge

Yes, I am using play 1.25. I assume you follwed the directions for renaming the vsts and placing them in the right place, per the JBridge website? I am using Vista Ultimate 64bit version and have not had that particular problem.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Re: jbridge

I was able to use jBridge with EWQLSO PLatinum PLAY 64bit vsts, but found that the Ram load was enromous. I can load 3-4 times as many instruments with the PLAY 32 bit vst without jBridge. And, since the whole reason for me to use the 64bit vst was to be able to load more instruments, I have switche...

Re: EWQL and NOTION3 FAQ

Novatlan--You are right that it should take minimal additional resources to open additional instances of PLAY. When I read your comment, I went back and did a couple of tests. I went into Sonar 8.5 and tried launching multiple PLAY instances, and found that each additional instance only bumped the R...

Re: EWQL and NOTION3 FAQ

I really appreciate the Lite EWQL instruments, but having to load each instrument in a separate PLAY instance still chews up way too much RAM. I can easily load 10+ master keyswitch instruments through Sonar using a single PLAY instance. But my machine (8GB of RAM on Vista 64-bit Ultimate running JB...

Re: Help with stuck notes

Thanks. I am on Windows, vista 64 Ultimate.

I found that if I hit escape a couple of times, it stops the stuck notes.

Help with stuck notes

Is there a command to interrupt stuck notes? I am getting somewhat frequent stuck notes and find that I have to exit notion and restart it which takes a long time (reloading my EWQL instruments).

Thanks,
mkiz

Re: Observations on Vista64 + Play + Jbridge

I have been having problems with excessive RAM usage as well. I noticed that the engine level for the PLAY presets was set to 5, the most RAM intensive...I am going to try reducing that to see if I can get better results...

Can't load EWQLSO Platinum Play 64-bit VST

When I try to load the 64-bit version of EWQLSO Play vst, I get a notice that this is not a valid 32 bit application. Does that mean that I am doing something wrong, or that the 64 bit version of Play is not supported...(yet?) (On a separate note, thanks to Lubo for the tip on how to get the Play sa...
