Re: New user question re: chords
This method is a great way to add life to chords added from the chord pallet. And after editing is completed the notes could be changed back into rhythm slashes again and they will maintain the velocity, duration and micro-timing changes made during the edit process. Chord name symbols can replace t...

Re: New user question re: chords
I sometimes input chords using rhythm slash notes and chords from the Notion Chord Library Pallet onto an "External MIDI Out Staff" which is loop recorded back into Notions MIDI input of another instrument(guitar). I then can edit the chords and make other dynamic or detailed changes if ne...

Re: What about Notion 5 ?
Did anyone from Notion ever mention a version 5? Back in I believe late November of 2013 during a phone conversation with a support member I was told they were working on Notion 5. There were no release dates given. Also, There was a web forum post from the Admin. in late March 2014 which spoke of ...

Re: how to paste Drum Library to vst/midi out tracks?
A "drum pattern preset" can only be applied to a "Notion Drum Set Staff" as far as I've been able to achieve; however, "copy and paste from a "Notion Drum Set Staff" on to a vst staff is possible". ... N-Dru to A-Dru.JPG Using custom rules, the Notion note out...

Re: Midi keyboard not inputing to score
awwatson740, What external MIDI interface are you using? (I'm not sure if 32-bit and 64-bit MIDI interface Device Drivers and Software Applications are opposite compatible). Check to see if your external device is compatible with the Notion version you have installed on your computer 32-bit or 64-bi...

Re: Midi keyboard not inputing to score
awwatson740, if you navigate to _File > Preferences... and click on the "MIDI Tab" you should see the MIDI Input "Input Device". Select the Yamaha MIDI device from the drop-down list. The close the preferences. You obviously need a Notion Staff and instrument. In Score> Setup ins...

Re: Lead Sheet Entry Questions
Liquid Notion,
Did you try the Notion file I made?
_It's not what I would call a "Lead Sheet" ala Realbooks.
After seeing the image file you added at the beginning of this post I tried to improvise one that may be what you were looking for.

Re: Lead Sheet Entry Questions
Liquid, Are you looking to do a "single note" melody staff "lead sheet" with a "tab chord chart" below it? Looking at the image file you've added to this post above I guess I don't really understand your needs. Here is a Wikipedia definition that may help you better in ...

Re: Woodwind trills
I understand that it may be desirable not to have every sample in the section trilling in the same fashion, but shouldn't they be just a little closer in stylistic approach, speed and amount of delay? For the future, I'd like to advocate for user-adjustable trills, similar to what fermatas and caes...

Re: Extension Woodwind bundle
Norman Del Mar, The Anatomy of the Orchestra (1981) A friend gave me that book years ago. In all honesty, I sadly haven't read it in detail much. He said it was a must read. I'll have to dig it out off the shelve. FWIW__ As for favorite books; "Music Notation --Gardner/Read" is priceless!...
