Yes... You need to export as a MusicXML file, Notion does not open .mus files.

Is it a Finale file or something else? You can only open MIDI, MusicXML, and Notion files in Notion for iPad. If it is one of those files and you are not seeing the Open in Notion option I would contact support@notionmusic.com and they will be able to get that going for you. Probably something simpl...
