Re: Smoothing out Crescendo Decrescendo
Well I made a little test file, and I am mostly satisfied with how it works. I didn't know if you were talking about solo samples or sections, and it wasn't totally clear if the whole notes were tied or not, so I covered all the choices. The only thing I find truly harsh is that the solo cello sampl...

Re: Tempo change as ratio
Hi George, I suggest entering the new tempo in the normal fashion, then hiding it. If you want a "quarter equals half" tempo, you'll have to enter it as a non-playing text block using a font with music characters. Perhaps this thread will help: http://forum.notionmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

Re: Smoothing out Crescendo Decrescendo
What does the music look like? Is it one held note or a sequence?

Re: tuplets symbol up and down
Hi Rubens, I know that Frieda's workaround doesn't work in all situations, but have you tried getting the tuples where you want them and then select-right-click the slur and force it onto the other side? (Attachments>show above/below) Let's hope that this will be fixed in the future. Best, Thorrild

Re: Dukas "L'apprenti Sorcier"
saintdufus,
Here is the promised demo file of music from the Nutcracker Ballet. It was made using only the sounds that come with Notion when you buy it.
Best,
Thorrild

Re: Dukas "L'apprenti Sorcier"
saintdufus, No, what I said was that I used almost exclusively Notion's sounds and expansion sounds. Although I like a couple of GPO's sounds better than Notion's, I consider the package on the whole inferior. In this score, I used only the Timpani and Bass Drum, both of which have a little more oom...

Re: Dukas "L'apprenti Sorcier"
Hi saintdufus, Thanks for your kind words. If you look back over the previous posts in this thread, you'll find a list of the sounds that are not Notion's own; they are from a pretty inexpensive library called Garritan Personal Orchestra. GPO is directly supported by Notion and does not require that...

Re: How do I create the louré effect in scoring strings?
You can get a little closer to a louré-like sound by applying the "soft start" articulation to all notes and then slurring them, as you have in your example. However, this improves only the playback. If you want to see notes with tenuto dashes and have them playback as notes with soft-star...
