Re: Legato on N3 strings....Is it me or .....?
I am finding that it tends to legato enough with no slur (strings, solo strings) that I'm very often entering semi-staccato "-" mark on notes to get separation sound. I end up with more marks than the player would expect on the score.

Re: Corrupted screen display?
I have occasionally had display issues like this. One thing I do for display-related issues is to fill with rests in a section of the score. This will sometimes reveal a quirk in a measure that wants to include an extra beat or have a slur or hairpin that bridges a measure in an odd way; if I get li...

Re: Bug! velocity influence on pitch
I just posted about this yesterday, reporting the Gb playing a B on solo vln. I didn't realize it was the dynamic that was causing it! Sure enough, in my case, if I reduce dynamic to mf, I get the right pitch. Thanks for a workaround. I tried marking mf then adding a sforzando or an accent mark; eit...

Re: Under techniques: l.v.
FYI: While it's used in other contexts, Let Vibrate (l.v.) is used routinely in scores for handbells. L.V. is used much like the sustain pedal on a piano as an instruction to the players to let the bells continue to ring, instead of damping them after each note.

Re: BUG? Transposing & 8va & Enharmonic
Maybe this is helpful as a technique or shortcut (or maybe I'm not understanding your point): When moving selected notes, Shift-arrow moves notes by half-step. If you shift up, they will be marked with #, and vice versa. If they are marked sharp, but you want flat, get there from other direction by ...

Re: Two layout questions
I'm pretty sure you cannot choose spacing between individual staves or between systems. Under full score options, you can change the Notation size, which will often give a better fit for duos on small pages or orchestral scores on larger pages. I usually use 3,4,5. Especially for rendering parts, a ...

Re: Anyone having problems with Notion as Rewire s
I just began experimenting with rewire using Logic Pro 7 and Notion 3. I was able to operate them together. I didn't run into the need for leading measures so far, but it is a frequent reference in many posts I found. It takes some planning, but it's really cool when it's working, allowing extension...

MIDI import; how to make notes visible
This started as a question, now a tip: When importing a MIDI file, parts show up in sequencer notation. If I chose menu Staff Settings...> Notation/Tab, the view would change, but notes would be invisible. The way that works is to select some portion of the part(s), and then choose menu Tools>Conver...
