I think you just want to essentially enter your notes in transposed mode. It will display in the transposed key but still sound concert pitch.

Re: "Save as PDF (Mac and PC)"
I use primo pdf, works great. I have also used Adobe and several others, they all actually worked fine. Most likely if you are having problems with the physical output, it's printer settings, not Notion.

Re: MusicXML Beaming?
Same when exporting to Sibelius as Finale; no beams. I always have to go back and re-enter the time-sigs. Which can be a pain when the music has lots of mixed meter. But it's a relatively easy fix. Just takes a minute.

Re: Imaginations (orchestral contemporary classical music)
I loved, LOVED this. It's a great testament to how much you can do with just the Notion Libraries without having to use 3rd party Vsti's. Bravo!

Re: More score problems 2
make sure your not in performance mode; you can't edit when this is the case. Other than that, I recommend contacting tech support, they do a great job.

Re: Notion as a learning tool
I've had someone ask me about using Notion as a means of learning to notate music. I think, essentially, what she's wanting to know is whether Notion will prevent one from entering music incorrectly. As someone used to inputting things correctly I wasn't too sure. I know I deliberately tried a coup...

Re: Rainmaker
If you go to Amazon there is actually a couple really good lists that basically have all the most widely used texts in academia today (and in the past). But some I read over and over... Harmony: Persichetti "Harmony" Straus "Post Tonal Theory" Morris "Class Notes" (if y...

Re: Staccato too agresive
Also, If you need readable parts, another solution is to make 2 scores; one for printing and one for playback. This is a common technique even for those of us lucky enough to have Fin/Sib especially where the more modern idiom is concerned.

Re: How to transfer your Finale / Sibelius scores to NOTION3
as of Version 7, Sibelius has native export of MusicXML. Works very very well with notion btw.

Re: Is The Fermata In Notion 4 Not Working For Anyone Else?
See, it's funny; I ALWAYS have had issues with fermata's etc. since Notion 1.5. Half the time they play, half the time they don't. Was the same in N2 and N3. Same thing when exporting WAV; sometimes the pauses or extended durations get rendered, sometimes they don't. This is something I have just go...
