Shift-Y: what will it do?
Please correct me if I'm wrong: as far as I can understand from the info I collected here and there about the "Shift-Y" functionality it will act as a virtual custom rules selector. Here's what I think I might be able to do with it: On a given track I could, with Shift-Y, select a given se...

Re: Version 4.0.324 crashes sometimes
Is there a way to return to the version before v 4.0.324. Everything was fine for me before that last "update". Where can I download the previous version and do I just write over the later version? Will the files written with v 4.0.324 be compatible with the previous version? Thanks for an...

Version 4.0.324 crashes sometimes
Is anyone experimenting crashes with the latest version? I'm running 2 separate licenses on different PCs under Win Pro x64 (fully updated) using different audio hardware and they both sometimes crash in several situations: 1) Exporting to wav file in Realtime at 24bit 2) Using as a ReWire slave wit...

Systematic development of rules: GREAT but...
I think a systematic way of naming group IDs is a great idea but how these will be used with Shift-Y and what they will let us do with rules? I'm new at rule writing and trying to write my first set right now for Albion I & III to start. I'm a theoretical physicist and I've been programming comp...

Re: Moving data from Notion 4 to sequencer
It worked. The approach I described above worked after a reboot. LoopMIDI presumably had to installed before starting SONAR (even though SONAR did recognize it!). So..... Now I can create a score in Notion 4, using prules for articulations, direct the output to Notion MIDI outs (4x16 channels) with ...

Re: Can Notion 4 Split Multi-Voice Staves Into Separate Stav
I have recently emailed Notion a feature request along these lines. If you do that too, we'll have at least a lobby of two! ;) The address is support@notionmusic.com. Best wishes, Thorrild Join the club: http://forum.notionmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2268&p=9699&hilit=separate+voices#...

Re: Moving data from Notion 4 to sequencer
Physical MIDI ports... I forgot about those  This brings an O.T. question: is there a way to connect one end of a virtual MIDI cable (e.g. loopMIDI) to a physical MIDI port? I ask because there are virtual "Y-cables" that could be useful then (check for ex. http://www.ddmf.eu/product...

Re: Moving data from Notion 4 to sequencer
Thank you all for this interesting discussion and for sharing information. Thank you David for your insight in this matter and for sharing your program. Very useful! This leaves me a lot of thinking to do on how to proceed in general to move from Notion to sequencer without having to duplicate some ...
