Re: A way to just select notes/rests only?

I bet if you add another staff to the score , then when you select the measure it wont erase. Aha, you're right! Still seems quite an unusual approach. I quite like Novatlan's suggestions for things to be 'anchored' against unintended deletion. I'm pretty sure that in a Piano piece, you would end u...

A way to just select notes/rests only?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm regularly deleting my metronome symbol in the first measure, and also my dynamics and custom instrument (Shift-I) markings, simply trying to select notes on their own! I know I must be missing something. I've tried narrowing a selection by going to "Clear...

Re: EWQLSO Gold Play

Hi Lubo, I know you guys are really busy, but at some point, would someone be able to write up a bit of advice for those of us who run various libraries (GPO, EWQLSO, VSL) from inside NI Kontakt 4, as apposed to their native players? i.e., to help us write our own presets for use in a central VSTi t...

Re: Realtime Midi Input

Lubo: I assume you already know this, but it's probably not the MIDI Input that's the problem? (i.e., stuff recorded onto a SequencerStaff plays back exactly what you recorded) It seems to be the Quantisation code that turns it into notation that is causing this mangled MIDI data. Midi Record -> Not...

Re: Forum search a bit strict

Yeah, it's a bit restrictive:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=307

I'd just use <search words> site:forum.notionmusic.com in a Google bar. Mind you, I do this for nearly all forums. :)

Re: Realtime Midi Input

Lubo has stated that the devs are fixing it. That's all he can do for us now. Keeping on complaining the whole time just angers people but brings nothing good. +1 pianotone: I work in software development (academic work) and whilst most musicians (imo) understand the difficulties involved in softwa...

Re: Library Presets...

Likewise, I prefer to use Kontakt 4 to host my libraries as it gives me vastly more control over tweaking and FX without having to fill up mixer slots. (as apposed to using the player VST) e.g., I'm not really sure how, if you use Kontakt 4 to load EWQLSO (or Symphony of Voices, or Tonehammer, or GP...

Re: Search words "ignored..too common..:" ewql gol

lol!

Yeah, I actually default to Google for any searches where the forum's own search engine is a bit temperamental.

Re: Unlocking the entry palette

1) When I undock the entry palette to move the palette out of the way (View - show - show palette) I am unable to use my right-click menu anymore (e.g. to copy & paste) because that button is used for the palette! Notion rather allow for hold-shift and right-click to move the palette around to ...

Re: N3 concerns

Midi keyboard recording: Not my main method of creating a finished piece, but it is useful to squeeze out an idea quickly. N3 is pretty horrid from my experience thus far. anything smaller than 8th notes just blow up into an incoherent mess for note values, and sometimes even gets the notes' pitch ...
