Expansion Sounds Ripoff!

I own Notion 2 with all the available expansion sounds. I got Notion 3 for $8.00 US. Now, I am expected to shell out another $221 US for the N3 expansion sounds that weren't included with N3, as they should have been? I don't think so. Ripoff!

Re: Vibrato on woodwinds (Notion instruments)

Try using Notion2 samples, as I feel they are much more realistic than the N3 samples. I'm not a fan of the close mike samples. With N2 samples, all the woodwinds have vibrato in long notes, except of course, for the clarinet. You can't control the vibrato rate, but you can hear it.

Re: Fade Out

Yup, that's a fade out indeed and a nice one too. I still can't seem to emulate it myself in N3; I have been using Notion since Notion 1.0 came out. I wonder if the issue is perhaps the clarinet sample itself? I'm not really noticing any change in dynamic levels below 'p' and I've notated all of the...

N3 Samples

I've had N3 for a few days and have been tinkering around. Some of the samples are nice but some are not. The Oboe seems to have no vibrato. The Bass Clarinet is very loud. Overall, I am wondering how I can effectively use these samples. N2 samples played in N3 seem to work a lot nicer. Are these N3...

Re: Fade Out

Yep...did all that. Even with a decrescendo hairpin anchored to a ppppp, the samples don't decay. They just cut-off. The only way I can find to make a fade out to nothing is by using Ntempo. Any chance that Notion is going to provide that fix soon. The lack of a musical fade in all of the samples se...

Fade Out

I can't seem to find a way to create an effective fade out in N3. In fact, the samples pretty much just cut off at the end of the piece, even when I have a fade dynamically via notation. Pretty unsatisfying and very unmusical. Notion 2 did this wonderfully. I have tried to create a fade by editing t...

Notion3, Rewire and 64-Bit

Just wondering how Notion3 and Rewire will work on 64-bit systems. Rewire currently doesn't support 64-bit systems, correct? Can 64-bit users use Notion3 in tandem with Rewire? Is there a work-a-round?

Re: Harp TEchniques in N3

To add to the above, pedal notation would be nice.

Re: Flute Expansions

I agree. The lack of an Alto Flute seems puzzling, especially when there is something as esoteric as a Contrabass Saxophone(Tubax) available.
