Playback finesse
In version 2 of N OTION I could enter data with keyboard shortcuts, or via the toolbars and a dialog. One difference between these methods was that using the longhand approach I could, for instance, select the playback 'slope' of a crescendo hairpin, or I could enter one dynamic marking to be shown ...

Re: Where is Technical Support?

That's what I thought. So I hesitated before e-mailing Tech Support . But when I did (using the e-mail address on the Notion 3 Licence Card) I got a prompt reply.

Where is Technical Support?
I logged into what I thought used to be Technical Support and found it moribund — latest questions are from from 2008 — so I tried the web page included in the licence card (http://www.notionmusic.com/support) only to find myself locked out. The Technical Support section of this forum hasn't had a r...

Pg Up Pg Dn
Am I right in saying that Page Up and Page Down keys no longer work in Notion 3? Or have I missed some 'legacy' setting?
With an orchestral score it is so convenient when playing back to be able to leap about the score without having to take your eyes off the music to fish around for a scroll bar.

Re: N3 Samples
The Bass Clarinet is very loud. Just for information: In a score originally done in Notion 1.5 and saved in Notion 2, the Notions 3 Bass Clarinet enters very loudly despite a p marking. I've re-inserted the p , but it makes no difference. The Bass Clarinet then encounters a diminuendo and reverts t...

Re: Notion 3 headaches (for me)
Everything was nicely balanced before, but now the instruments are all over the place. I also found this, and I wonder if anyone has installed the legacy (Notion 2) sounds and can tell me if they get a better result for existing scores. I am pleased with the playback for newly-created scores, so fa...

Three good things about Notion 3 (and one bad!)
Three great things about Notion 3 (There will be more, but I've only just installed it): 1. The new interface is great, while the program retains all the playback and other features of Notion 2 2. Amongst the demo scores is one by Dr Jarrett. I don't know much of his music, but I was pleased to see ...
