Pedalling on grandstaff

Can't this be better?

Image

I want the pedal up at the last note in the bar/measure.
With hiding and another setup I can have the pedal up at the next bar line, but that is IMHO a bit odd.

Legato on N3 strings....Is it me or .....?

Notes under a slur, using Notion section strings (from violins to c.basses), don't seem to play legato.
But this isn't that important at the moment, because I will change them in the near future for EWQL Platinum Play Super (or whatever that optimum platinum is called).

Re: Grandstaff playback question

Not a professional solution but it worked. Just tried it. Set cursor/pointer on Grandstaff. Go to Edit/Select Part. Now both parts are colored grey. Do a Ctrl-click on the part you don't want. Start the playback and it only plays the still grey colored part of the grandstaff.

Note heads - size

In particular in piano pieces sometimes fast sequences are notated with a note head of which the size is much smaller than normal. Anybody familiar with Liszt and Chopin must have seen them.

Can I expect those to see the light one day in N3?

Re: Trill on a piano

So, it doesn't trill on a Vsti --> The Garritan Authorized Steinway. Thus, I faked it a bit, using for that one note the NOTION3 piano. I don't think that is what the N3 makers had in mind. A "for the time being" solution demands some "new patch" don't you think so? Beside this s...

Key changes in orchestral part

Originally D major, at a certain spot changing to G major, so some of the sharps disappear. Sometimes (or is it often) when such a change is at hand, the sharps that disappear are put there as "naturals" (don't know the english term for this symbol, it is neither sharp nor flat but.....) f...

Re: Under techniques: l.v.

David Smith wrote:FYI: While it's used in other contexts, Let Vibrate (l.v.) is used routinely in scores for handbells. L.V. is used much like the sustain pedal on a piano as an instruction to the players to let the bells continue to ring, instead of damping them after each note.

This makes sense, thanks.

Re: About GPO "template"

Huray, got it working. Download the Notion file from Box.net and study it. The file is here: http://www.box.net/shared/dm0qxxkedm Score Setup What I did was the following. First I "entered" the ARIA player and loaded the String Section/Violins I KS. In Notion you get just the first staff (...
