Re: Group ID Organization
I'm not sure what the purpose is of that sticky in the main "Notion" forum, though, since the subforum we're posting in right now is already called "Share Custom Rules". Is this subforum or that sticky the correct place to share custom rules? Or are they intended to complement e...

Re: Group ID Organization
I personally prefer the original formulation, I think the limitation of assigning 26 plugin library abbreviations will be used up fast, whereas I don't think more than 26 rule-set variations is likely to be necessary for a particular instrument family within a particular library. I think you're rig...

Re: Group ID Organization
I'll do a set for Synful first, followed by Wallander, followed by Garritan JABB.
Maybe the admin can provide any guidance for posting preset files for third party libraries (i.e. what is/isn't allowed on the forum and what share site can/can't be linked to from the forum).

Re: Rules, SE Suspended Cymbal
Keep in mind that I know little about Vienna libraries, but I'll what I can do. The first thing you need to do is determine what sounds you want triggered based on Notion's techniques and articulations. What do you want rules to do that's not possible with current Vienna presets? What effects, keysw...

Re: Group ID Organization
Here's the original discussion. I actually originally had the first two characters for the library, the second for the instrument family, and the third the specific instrument rule.

Group ID Organization
Hi everyone. A quick warning, I've crammed a couple of different posts into one entry, so please bear with me. As you've probably seen from admin as well as a few others on the forum, we can now utilize Group IDs for specific rule sets. Back when this functionality was announced by Notion, I attempt...

Re: Regarding Plug-ins
I think the answer to that question is really nothing other than a mild form of cyber-bullying. Lay on 1500+ word replies that veer constantly off topic, replete with irrelevant detail (do we really need screenshots of his or rather IK Multimedia’s version of White 2A Leveling Amplifier ?) and cons...

Re: EWQL crescendi
The issue is a combination of how Notion uses (or doesn't use) crossfade patches and the fact that only channel 1 gets true CC data. Keyswitch patches don't use crossfade AFAIK. I would gladly write custom rules for EWQLSO that resolves this issue, but every time I try, the channel 1 limitation caus...

Re: cancelling/compounding techniques
Check out the ExpressionList.tpk file. It can be found in Notion > Support > Lists. Open in a text editor and have a look around. This file basically defines expressions and their properties (including conflicting expressions).
